Almost Two weeks in.
So it has been almost 2 weeks now since the Blog has begun. Traffic has been steady, I'm thoroughly enjoying writing again and I appreciate all the feedback. Please reach out if you have any requests or something you want more of or less of. I have a small backlog of posts and I'll be filtering them in from time to time when I'm busy, that's why you'll notice that some of the content may appear dated at times. It's just a little self-preservation. I had a look over what I have prepared so far and there isn't really a whole bunch about fishing. I suppose that my thought process will change as the winter draws to an end, and I'm out on the river more often. I have some food-related stuff, fly tying tips, product reviews, old stories and other general life-related jabber.
It's cold and sunny here in Terrace today but I don't know if I'll leave the house. I've got 5 dozen tubes prepped for tying my "Skeena Coladas" and I'm about to dive into that. Still waiting on a few tying materials orders that will allow me to start into a few other tying projects.
My days have been busy tying, cross country skiing, snowboarding a bit, filling fly orders, and taking bookings for upcoming seasons. If you haven't checked out my programs for the 2019 season you can do so HERE. Be sure to have a look at the Bow River Spey camps, spaces are becoming limited so I'm considering adding more weekday dates. The format of these camp is great for a broad range of skill levels. With a max of 4 students, you'll get the individual attention you require whether you've never picked up a two-hander, or if you're already an accomplished spey angler. There is something for everyone and I'm excited to share.
Later in the month, I'm heading east to Nova Scotia to visit the family. Its been awhile since I've been home and look forward to taking it all in. Keep checking in for a post named "Dad's Tow Rope" it's a short little blurb I wrote last spring about a tow rope my father made for me a couple crappy vehicles ago.
