Greetings from isolation. You'd think that during these times that I'd be blogging more often but honestly, I'm still a little in shock about what's going on around us. I've known about COVID-19 and heard the talk over the last couple of months, but I never envisioned this. I'm trying to put a positive light on things and treating this as an opportunity to get some things done.

I feel fortunate to be healthy, have a safe place to stay, and have a suitable supply of food in the freezer. It's been great to hear from folks, lots of people checking in to see how things are and asking how they can help. Truthfully, there are a few really easy ways: for those of you with trips booked, stand by your booking. Inevitably there will be some cancellations, but I'm trying not to put the cart before the horse. We morally and ethically have to observe the recommendations of our government and I hope to be out there on the river with you soon.

Another way that you are able to help is to order some flies or some of my Feather Forge Fly Company merchandise. The flies that I sell to sweeten the pot in a typical year may now have become my safety net.

Throughout my career as a guide I’ve been lucky to have hosted some wonderful guests and I appreciate your support throughout the years.
