Our philosophy on flies

The fly is a crucial ingredient to success in any fly fishing situation and fly tying is an integral part of Feather Forge. It’s something we take very seriously - We pride ourselves on tying high-quality flies with the best materials available.  What’s available is continually changing according to what we’re fishing and having success with.  Fly design is a constant evolution, refinement, and testing of the final product. We’re not as concerned with how a fly looks in a bin; We direct our focus more towards functionality, swim, durability, and of course effectiveness.  We tie a wide variety of tried and tested patterns for steelhead & salmon, trout, and saltwater species.  For the time being to order flies click on the link below and we can start to communicate about what it is that we have in stock and what it is that you require. In time we are hoping to build an online store. If there is something in the Galleries that appeals to you, we can start there.
