Vehicle repairs sting.

Capri Camper

Vehicle repairs sting. They sting even worse when they happen when I am up North. When I have problems in Calgary I know Phil and the Boys have me covered. When up in Terrace I end up paying either dealership or the “LNG is coming so we are gonna charge you through the eyeballs price”

My truck is still relatively new in my mind, but it has been a bit of a pain this last year. Some things need doing in the name of general maintenance like brakes and tires. Well, I got those covered in the last 12 mths. Went in for tires, did summer tires and brakes. Went in to swap out for my winters and came home with new studded badass winters. New Battery, Small rad leak and thermostat change. Then the water pump blew to the tune of 850$ and left me stranded in on the highway at 11:30 pm with a 170KM tow job. Now It still consumes 1/2 gallon of coolant a day. It goes in TODAY. . . . yup TODAY . . . .only day off TODAY . . . . Promised to pick up a client at the airport TODAY. . . . Need to get everything ready for the next three days of guiding TODAY. . . . . Still trying to move out of the house TODAY. Although not all that surprised, that's just the way things go at times. Still smiling, it'll sort.

Its the TSN turning point of a vehicle where you are reminded that these things do not last forever. . . . ."Is this costing me more than payments on a new one would be?" I hate the idea of getting a newer truck dirty or scratching the shit out of it within the first hours of owning it by driving down a back road or crap boat launch.

Life will go on. I am constantly reminded of how good I have it and how fortunate I am to be able to do the things I love. It's just a truck and its only money . . . . I will make some more.
