Dye Job gone good

Those of you who follow the blog regularly may recall me messing with some feather dying last spring. I'm at it again with some help from my friend Geoff Pieroway. We've talked about getting together to do this for a while now and it finally came together.

I have several pounds of "seconds" mixed colour marabou. I call them seconds because I believe the "firsts" to be of palmering length and quality. These seconds are fantastic for tying the tails of my "dynAAmite leech" I don't have a lot of use for Shrimp, pink, blue, or chartreuse leeches, so I dyed it all black.

Perfectly good just not in a colour that I need.

I only ever obtained marginal success with my attempts last spring, but with Geoffs help, I think we've got er figured.

I look forward to doing more dying now that I know the proper way. I now have a serious supply of Black for leech tails.
