June in review
June is a special time for me as I usually get a few days to throw long with the big rods and fish a few days for myself. This June, I rushed back to Terrace after Spey camps in hopes of doing my Chinook pre-fishing. Reports had been decent, but it RAINED. It was all sorted by the time my first guest arrived, but it was a little hard on the brain regardless.
This June, I had the pleasure of hosting Darn and Prez for a few days of Chinooks. Many of you will know Kevin "Prez" as one of my guide partners at Babine Norlakes and we've worked adjacent to each other for years on the Bow. High water remained an issue, but we had action and even managed a morning of Crabbin'.
I decided to get into a new Adipose skiff this past year and wasn't sure how I would get it into Canada on time. The boys took good care of me and my boat was ready to go and I picked it up at the border at the end of June. In true Aaron fashion, I flew into town with a cloud of dust around me . . . . . . . right at the start of a heatwave. More tomor.
